This educational program is developed according to a specific level of knowledge in order to become Practitioner of Business Coaching.

The educational philosophy is anchored in the idea that knowledge is inspirational. It implies that you are capable of thinking for yourself and it also implies that there is no right or wrong.

The program is therefore not a direct result of operational skills within coaching, but is an organized tool box that will enable you to create some valuable experiences with coaching sessions.

It is primarily applied knowledge within psychology and some frameworks based on the philosophy of mind.

The program covers the main areas of a philosophical model that has been scientific validated.

E-coaching.dk is a site that you can empower you to work with a higher quality as a coach.

What is coaching?

Coaching is a process of reflection and development that enables the individual to raise the awareness of their job and life situation.

Through dialogues and tailored exercises, the coachee achieves a new level of clarity and inspirations.

The process of coaching stimulates thought development and a deeper emotional serenity.

Coaching dialogues are typically 80% questioning and 20% advise.

The idea of a coaching process is to move individuals from a challenging situation to a pleasant situation with a lighter energy.

The conceptual frameworks are a combination of applied philosophy, psychology.

The profound goal of coaching is to evoke the individual intuitions and to reveal happiness.

Coaching is a way of being with another person and it demands some specific skills. We have identified four significant skills. They are the ability to emancipate, the ability to show empathy, to imagine opportunities and the ability to transform a present situation.

Why coaching?

• To create awareness / preparedness

• To generate knowledge of importance

• To avoid taking over the responsibility of the other

• To improve the judgemental power

You, as a coach

Please consider your character as a coach by answering the following questions:

What kind of energy do I ‘transfer’ to other people?

What kind of space do other people experience when I am present?

In what way, do I provide other people support and kindness?

What would work for me as a coach and what makes it harder for me to act as a coach?

Conclusion: What kind of coach am I? :-)

Relevance of approaches

Why the Emancipatory Approach?

The emancipatory approach is focusing on people’s sense of reality – in coaching situations we are challenging people’s thought patterns and their way of organizing themselves. We do that in order to help them clarifying fundamental commitments in life and business life

We are also questioning people’s determination to make sure that they have good reasons to believe what they believe in?

It means that the emancipatory approach is relevant when it comes to people’s mindset, belief systems and bad relationships.

When you experience people’s lack of clarity, you can with advantage use the emancipatory approach.

Why Empathy?

When people are suffering emotionally, empathy is the best way of handling the situation

Empathy is creating a space for the individual in order to feel the importance of the present force of coherence

We need to accept that listening is the most important element when we are practising empathy. We also need to understand how emotions are affecting the judgemental power of individuals

You can with advantage use empathy when complexity - on an emotional level - is controlling the human mind

Why the Imaginative Approach?

The imaginative approach is very relevant when people are occupied by trivial ways of doing things or restricted by certain life routines

The imaginative approach is questioning life as such. It is useful in order to reopen the mind and in order to transcend the present state of mind

We are focusing on opportunities and creational forces by using the imaginative approach

You help individuals to generate new ideas and perspectives when you are focusing on stimulating their imagination

Why the Tranformative Approach?

The transformative approach is relevant when people are in an existential change process.

You can use the transformative approach when you experience that people need a fundamental change in their life or work life.

You will most likely realize that when people are in a deeper crisis. The crisis is often related to an inner need for clarity and well-being.

Transformational processes take time – you can’t rush those processes but you can support people’s need for an inner peacefulness.

Why Focusing on Happiness?

Happiness is the ‘key hole’ in all successful coaching sessions. You should practice coaching in order to raise the awareness on happiness and the different aspects of happiness.

Most people are seldom very happy. They often lack in motivation of doing something without being rewarded.

The theory tell us that happiness is the result of having success, the experience of freedom, the experience of importance and the value of coherency in life.

It is the flow in life that makes people happy.
